1.0 out of 5 stars reusable envelopes, March 28, 2011

You better hope your sending the bill to a scientist to be sure they will even attempt to re-use these to send back your payment or whatever they are sending. You'll have to send a direction sheet enclosed & hope they don't just open it with a letter opener first. You have to be sure they pull the tab to open it, then be sure they tear any additional off from where you licked it shut, then they need to be sure what they are returning is the right size to show through the window for the return address & then lick the other flap shut & oh yes, be sure to remove the tab on the front to remove the old postage before you add the new. This was a good idea but got way too complicated. The instructions are on the top of the envelope on the back too but who do you know is going to read instructions on how to use an envelope before opening it? I wouldn't take the time to figure it out if I got something in one of these. I'd just tear it open, take out what's inside and toss the envelope away... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Awkward to use and tossed by returnees, May 26, 2011

This product has a lot of potential both in saving time and minimizing paper use over the usual remittance envelope stuffed separately with the statement. It is a one part form with windows that work for the initial bill with a tear out window for the return mail. The original seal is pulled off leaving a second fold to be used for return mail.

Our busy medical practice used the envelopes to send out bills to patients for a couple of weeks. My billing staff found the envelopes somewhat awkward as the bills needed to be enclosed "upside down" or the address was obscured. Once they got used to the new envelopes it wasn't a problem but we had to check carefully to be sure that the address appeared in the window. As a result a number of envelopes had to be reopened and discarded. That took more time than our old process that has the return envelope already stuffed in with the patient's statement.

Unfortunately our patients either didn't like using the same... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars A little bit confusing, April 6, 2011

Sometimes a neat idea can be a bit confusing. The neat idea is to have a return envelope as part of the sending one. The confusing part is what do you preforated part of the envelop gets torn - both when and by whom. I honestly had to do this a couple times to figure it out. Also the end product was an envelop that was a bit ragged looking once done. I think the idea is probably a good one but I'm not sure this is the solution.
